A little history of the office
After the office was founded by Gerhard Huxoll in 1966, buildings for the automotive industry were initially realized. In the 1970s to the 1990s, the focus was on residential construction. From 1998 we operated under the name Alexander Schwab Architects, from which today's ASA Alexander Schwab Architekten GmbH emerged. In the new millennium we primarily dealt with commercial and logistics buildings. Extensive urban planning in China was a major challenge. We are now more active again in residential construction, school construction and renovations.

This is important to us
Architecture creates spaces for people to live and work in. With its design, shapes, colors and materials, it an impact their environment for many decades. Architecture is therefore not an end in itself, but is based on the needs and wishes of its client and its users.

Since the creation and maintenance of architecture consumes energy and resources, it should be sustainable, taking into account the general conditions of the location and showing a contemporary face. As an experienced architecture firm, we are aware of this responsibility. Our roots go back to 1966 and the individual ideas of our clients have always been the focus of our work.

They particularly appreciate that our architects, town planners and engineers pay careful attention not only to functionality, stability and good design when planning their buildings, but also to long-term economic efficiency. Our clients are always happy that many years later buildings will still impress with their environmental friendliness, comfort and low operating costs.

This is what we do
Under the direction of Alexander Schwab, Alessandro Duca and Vincent Zwipf, our clients have a qualified team at their disposal, which accompanies and advises them competently and with dedication from the first idea to completion. A special feature of our office is the internationality of the employees. With their different life experiences and cultural backgrounds, they inspire each other. Membership in several renowned associations and clubs as well as demanding quality certifications underline our high standards. We use it to implement projects for residential, office and commercial properties nationwide and internationally.
